# Increasing Your Deposit and Upgrading Your Locking Period

### Depositing MTD <a href="#h_cd19089482" id="h_cd19089482"></a>

We recommend using [VVS Finance](https://vvs.finance/swap) to swap your tokens to MTD.

Staking your MTD takes just **five** steps:

1. Go to ***Rewards*** via the top navigation bar.<br>
2. Select a vault (1 month / 6 months / 12 months / 48 months).

3. Input the percentage of MTD that you would like to deposit (25% / 50% / 75% / Max) or enter a custom amount.

4. Click ***Deposit***.

5. Review and approve the transaction in your wallet. Please note that you will need to pay a gas fee in CRO.

Note: MTD staking and token rewards are only available on Cronos.

### Upgrading Your Locking Period <a href="#h_65c14413f4" id="h_65c14413f4"></a>

Just four simple steps to enjoy greater rewards:

1. Navigate to **Your Deposits** in the **Rewards** page. There, you’ll be able to view the MTD that you’ve deposited across the different vaults.

2. Click on any vault. Then, select ***Upgrade Locking Period*** or ***Deposit More***.

3. Select the vault that you would like to upgrade to, confirm the details and click ***Upgrade***.

   *\*This action is irreversible. You can only upgrade to a longer period and this upgrade will apply to the entire vault. The upgraded vault’s new duration will be the full term of the selected locking period.*\
   \&#xNAN;*i.e. Total MTD (Locked and Unlocked) will be deposited into the target vault.*<br>
4. Review the details and confirm the upgrade when you’re ready. Please note that you will need to pay a gas fee in CRO.
